110mm x 300m Thermal Ribbon – Wax, Ink In & Ink Out

The most cost effective thermal ribbon is known as “WAX ”

Wax is suitable for acute image quality, ease of use and when when longevity of print is not required. As it is 100% wax based, the thermal image smudges very easily.

Wax ribbons transfer easily onto the print media but generally have poor qualities of adhesion, so are most suitable for printing onto porous media where the wax can be held by pores. On semi-gloss, and especially on gloss materials, the print may scratch or rub off easily.

We recommend this grade for paper labels.

Ink-In or In-Out?

Ribbons are manufactured with the ink on the inside or the outside of the roll. This is because different Thermal Printers have different winding paths for thermal ribbons. Another commonly used term is Carbon Side In (CSI) and Carbon Side Out (CSO). Check your printer to select the option you need, or contact us for assistance.
